Sound bowl therapy

Sound bowl relaxation is a deep relaxation method in which the body and mind are given the opportunity to enter a state of deep relaxation through the vibrations of the sound bowls. This is based on the principle of resonance, i.e. co-vibration, whereby the sound waves and vibrations of the bowls penetrate deep into the tissues down to the cellular level.

Sound bowls are played by hitting with mallet. Each bowl is hand-forged and made of seven different metals. There are different sizes of sound bowls and these sounds varies according to the sizes.

Dress comfortably and warmly for a moment of relaxation. You can take wool socks with you. In group relaxation, you rest on a yoga mat under a blanket and give yourself time to relax. If you wish, you can also change the position during relaxation. You will get an experience of incredible sound journey with Tibetan sound bowls and other instruments. In relaxation, I play sound bowls, kong, crystal koshi, crystal sound bowl, rain stick and ring drum.

Sound bowl relaxation for two persons:

  • You can come to sound bowl relaxation alone with your friend, partner, or your parent or child. This is a wonderful relaxing experience for both of you. Relaxation is done on the floor on a yoga mat. Bowls are played on the body of both persons and above the body (in the aura).

Sound bowl relaxation for one person:

  • At first, you rest comfortably on the treatment table under a blanket. You can lie face down against the pillow and later turn around to lie on your back. I play sound bowls on the body and above the body (in the aura). The treatment is progressing calmly from head to toe. You may fall asleep or even fall into a “dormancy”.

Sound bowl therapy is not recommended:

  • If you have cancer or are undergoing cancer treatments

  • If you have a pacemaker and loud noises affect your heart

  • Fever or flu

  • Under the influence of alcohol

  • Vascular blockages
